Lego Therapy
Lego Therapy is an intervention used to support social and communication skills. The session typically involves three children who each have their own designed role within the sessions. These are:
- The engineer – uses plans to describe the construction needed and bricks
- Supplier – finds the correct bricks as described by the engineer and gives to the builder
- Builder – uses the verbal instruction given by the engineer to put the bricks together
The sessions aim to develop:
- Sharing skills
- Turn-taking
- Following rules
- Using names
- Problem solving
