Cued Articulation is a set of hand cues used to support the teaching of the individual sounds in a word. The hand movements represent different sounds whilst also giving the child clues as to where in the mouth that sound is produced. It is not the same as Sign Language or Makaton (where the whole word is signed) but rather focuses on the individual sounds within words.

Communicate InPrint is a computer-based programme which aids the creation of resources to support children’s understanding of vocabulary through adding pictures to words. Communicate InPrint is used for all of our labelling around the school.
