Outside School Visits

School trips are chosen carefully to complement the curriculum and make learning more fun and interesting.  From Year 1 upwards children will have the opportunity voluntarily to participate in activities organised by members of staff at times outside the usual sessions. These activities may be before the start of the morning session, during lunch break, after the end of the afternoon session or at weekends. Such activities may include football, netball, athletics, music and art and design. From time to time other subjects may be offered, according to the interest of staff and the demand from children.

Workshop Visits in to School

In addition outside providers may offer activities across all age ranges. Workshops are an important and enjoyable part of school life and offer children the opportunity to work with some of the leading professionals in their field.  Most workshops are tailored to suit all year groups, for example during our African Drummers workshop it started with simple rhythms for the younger children but challenged older and more able children to advanced polyrhythms hands on experience.

Our visits and workshops provide pupils with an opportunity to learn first hand, reinforce class work and support our creative curriculum themes.
