National Tree Planting Week

Today, Thursday 30th November 2017, nine members of Rowan Class planted some rowan trees in the top corner of our school field. Premier Foods in Ashford is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and as part of National Tree Planting Week they provided us with not only the trees but the manpower to get them planted. Rowan Class will now care for the trees and as they become established we hope to use this designated space for more outdoor learning. We were very happy to welcome Premier Foods in to work with the school. The children had fun and learnt about the importance of trees in our environment. We look forward to watching the rowan trees grow alongside the children over the coming years.
