On a cold Monday in mid-November, John Wesley School were unfortunate to miss out on a place in the top pool of the competition after some excellent ‘learning on the job’ volleyball from our team. Click on post title to view event photos.
With only two experienced players, three new players and minimal training, the team showed resilience, team work and encouragement to win several games, with Charlie, Tilly and Dylan showing that they could learn new skills quickly to be effective. Jared and Evie were the old hands, offering steady encouragement and direction.
Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication in results, the team found themselves in the second pool after the initial round of games, but battled to seventh place out of the fifteen teams that went. Well done!
