Term 1 Connected Learning

Our Connected Learning question in Term 1 is ‘What can we find in our school?’

In History, we will be looking at the life of Mae Jemison, celebrating Black History Month during October.

In Science, the children will be exploring each of their five senses. This will involve using each sense to investigate how it is used and compare their findings. Each sense will be explored each week, with objectives such as ‘What factors affect our sense of taste?’ (where we will be tasting food, blind folded). Also, looking at our sense of sight, testing whether everyone sees the same image in an optical illusion.

In Geography, we will look at our school grounds and at weather patterns in our country. We will study the North and south Poles.
