Our big question this term is: Evolution and Inheritance: Have we always looked this way? Our Connected Learning and Science will complement our English as they delve deeper into the scientific theories of Charles Darwin and his findings around adaptation and evolution. In Science we will be studying the ways in which specific animals and plants have adapted over time to suit their environment and the role of natural selection. In Geography lessons, we will research the vibrant and dramatic natural and physical features of South America.

Home Learning

Every Friday children will receive a piece of English and Maths homework to complete by the following Friday - it will always be what they have learnt that week and therefore should be able to be completed independently. We provide this homework so that children can consolidate their learning in the hopes this will enable them to retain the information/process for longer.

 Spellings

Children will stick in their weekly spellings into their orange reading records ready to practise for the week. They are then tested on these spellings on a Friday morning.
