Term 4 Key Information
- No Forest School this term .
- We have PE on Thursday mornings, please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit with a school jumper.
Term 4 Curriculum
This term in English, we will be reading The Pirates Are Coming! which links closely with our exciting new topic: Pirates! To celebrate our learning, our topic will culminate in a Pirate Day on Friday 27th March—look out for more details coming shortly!
Maths lessons will focus on comparing numbers and exploring how numbers are composed.
Alongside this, Phonics sessions will continue to introduce new phonemes and build blending skills to support fluent reading. Your child will read in their group three times a week at school, and we kindly ask that you also share a book with them every night to help strengthen their reading confidence.
As part of PSED, children will explore Understanding the Law—thinking about how rules keep us safe, why we follow them, and the important role the Police play in our community.
Our RE learning centres around the big question: “Why do Christians put a cross in an Easter garden?” We will also discover the Easter Story and consider its importance to Christians.

Home Learning
Please try to read every day and write in the reading record diary. Your child has a 'Treasure Book' that you can share together (your child is not expected to be able to read this alone) and a reading book which they have read three times at school, the aim is they should be reading this book fluently by the time they return it to school on a Wednesday.
