Term 5 Connected Learning
This term, our learning question is: How is our Planet changing!
Through our Connected Learning we will be looking at mountains and caves and how these are formed. We will be also looking at sources of energy in particular electricity in our science lessons. As part of our DT this term we are going to make torches and create a circuit. In English we will be reading 'Blue John' by Berlie Doherty, where we will be writing an explanation text about how the mineral Blue John is formed. We are also reading 'A World Full of Animal Stories' by Angela McAllister where we are learning to draw inference in our reading and justify by finding evidence in the text. In Maths, we are identifying time intervals and using formulas to calculate different lengths of time. We will also learn about statistics. Finally, we are continuing to learn about Hindu Dharma, learning about the Gods and ceremonies with a focus on why Gandhi is so important to a Hindu.
