Our focus will be on architecture, democracy, theatre and the Olympics. We will be building on our knowledge and understanding of Sound and how our ears hear in our science lessons. As part of of our DT, we will be identify what a pneumatic system is and then applying it to making a Greek monster with a moving part . In English we will be reading 'Leon and the Place Between' by Angela Mcallister and Graham Baker-Smith, where we will be writing a diary based on the character in the story. We are also reading 'The Train to Impossible Places' by P.G Bell where we are learning about inference and what it means identifying how characters feel and identifying evidence in the text to support what is inferred.  In Maths, we will be finishing off our unit on Addition and Subtraction. We will be learning about the area of shapes and how to calculate this and finally we will be moving onto multiplication and times tables.  Finally, in RE, we will be learning about John Wesley, the Methodist priest and also towards the end of the term we will learn about Incarnation from Understanding Christianity.
