Term 2 Key Information

We have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Parent Teacher Consultations: Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th November.
Tuesday 11th November: Remembrance Worship
Maths Week : 17th November
Wednesday 17th December: Festive Non- Uniform / Christmas Dinner Day!
Friday 19th December: Term 2 Ends.

Term 2 Connected Learning

This term, our learning will continue to focus on 'World War II' - particularly the latter stages as we continue to work though chronologically. We will be studying a variety of events that took place and the effects these had on the people of Britain and other European countries involved. Children will be studying the use of bomb shelters during the era of The Blitz and creating their own models of Anderson or Morrison shelter designs.

Home Learning

Every Friday children will receive a piece of English and Maths homework to complete by the following Friday - it will always be what they have learnt that week and therefore should be able to be completed independently. We provide this homework so that children can consolidate their learning in the hopes this will enable them to retain the information/process for longer.

Spellings

Children will stick in their weekly spellings into their orange reading records ready to practise for the week. They are then tested on these spellings on a Friday morning.
