Term 4 Connected Learning

This term, our leaning focuses on, 'The Galapagos Islands'. In the 1800s, Charles Darwin explored these islands and made detailed recordings of his findings. His research revolutionised people's understanding of evolution and natural selection. The animals living within the island demonstrated unique characteristics allowing them to thrive within the environment. We will be studying this in detail within our Science lessons and in Geography will be looking closely at the formation of islands and the physical and natural features found in South America.

This term, we will be focusing on revision for our upcoming SATS tests.

SATS revision is useful because it helps your child learn how to learn.

Revision is different for all of us, and what works for one child might not work for another.

Use this time for these tests to practise how to revise for examinations, which will become valuable information as your child moves onto secondary school and beyond.

  • We will release a new homework booklet every week which will focus on a particular area of mathematics and English.
  • We also have three creative tasks linked to our learning in school.
