Term 3 Connected Learning
This term, our learning focuses on 'Heroes and Villains'. Our key text in English is Arthur and the Golden Rope, which is based on Norse Mythology and focuses on adding description through relative clauses, adverbials and figurative language to add imagery to our writing, developing the characters and settings. Our Science learning this term focuses on Space, the movement of the Earth in relation to the Sun, the orbits and order of the planets as well as other features in Space. Our History topic this term focuses on Anglo-Saxon gods and the conversion to Christianity, and moves onto Viking invasion, law and justice. In Art we will be designing our own Superhero / Villain hat or mask, researching, designing and creating using different materials to suit our chosen characters' personality. In RE we look at the question 'How can following God bring freedom and Justice?' focusing on stories from the Old Testament and how the Bible shows freedom and Justice for God's people.
