Term 2 Curriculum
This term, we will be building on our learning with lots of exciting activities! Our Pathways book is The Three Little Pigs, and we will use it to practice sequencing and retelling stories using words like first, next, then, after that, and finally. In Phonics, we will focus on the sounds g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, and practice blending and segmenting to grow confidence in reading and writing. In Maths, we will explore how numbers can be made up of parts and put back together again, looking closely at sets of three, four and five. We will play games like ‘Guess the Whole’ and use spatial language to identify and describe shapes. In RE, we will begin learning about the Nativity story and think about questions such as “Who is in the Nativity?” and “Who is the most important character?” to help us reflect on the first Christmas.
